OPEN FOR BUSINESS

We hope that you and your families have been safe and well during the business shutdown; we are positive and optimistic that our lives are beginning to return to normal and we at IDS wish to play a leading part in getting the country moving.

We understand that it is the intention of many companies to re-open for business, and we are pleased to advise you that we are also open and have remained so throughout the crisis, operating from five of our locations. As the leading UK distributor of decorative surfaces specialising in decorative panel, laminate and compact, solid surface, wall panelling, flooring, worktops, sinks and taps, we have understood the importance of remaining open to support our customers who have been working hard to provide essential products and services.

It is our aim to work closely with you to ramp up our return to deliver at full service levels from all locations, in support of the anticipated uplift in business activity. This will have to be done in stages, and we will keep you updated regarding changes.

Please see below some key information regarding how our business is currently operating; this is under regular review, however we don’t anticipate any changes to this five-site structure over the next couple of weeks.

Our Leeds, Stoke and Nuneaton branches are open, alongside our bulk storage and import warehouses in Ely and Blackburn. This represents our largest depots, carrying a significant percentage of our total stockholding. We have created a national sales team that is working out of our depots at Leeds, Stoke and Nuneaton, and the phone lines for branches that have been temporarily closed have been diverted to these sales offices. We are currently operating with a reduced fleet of vehicles and will do our best to meet your requirements, so we ask that you work closely with our sales team to be as organised and flexible as possible in helping us to support you. We do also ask you to consider that mechanical off-lift will be required for all deliveries to allow safe distances to be maintained between colleagues. All five sites are open for collection and we have introduced additional procedures to ensure that we can serve you safely and efficiently.

We can assure you that the health and safety of our employees is our number one priority and confirm that we are able to provide a safe working environment on our sites, being fully compliant with Government recommendations for hygiene and social distancing.
